Clemson University Foreign Language Declamation
- Maggie Smith finished in 1st place in her category
- Ann Halsmer won 3rd place in the Native Level category.
St. Paul School Spelling Bee (held March 2)
- Our top school speller is Aisha Guthrie (8th grade)

34th International Children's Art Exhibit
- Zachary Hill was awarded the Pentel Award
- Kathleen Geigley won a silver medal
Piedmont Interstate Fair
- SueAlex Wright won for her essay, "My Favorite Part of the Fair"
- Art winners were
- Kristyn Winch and Lexie Barcomb (First Premium Ribbons)
- Jalyn Long (Second Premium Ribbon)
- Alaina Hrysikos, Holly Pugh, and Katie Winch (Honorable Mention).
Lion's Club Peace Poster Contest
- Aisha Guthrie was selected as the School Winner.
Spartanburg County Red Ribbon Campaign
- Kristyn Winch and Sonny Bandigas were First Place winners in the poster contest.
- Carmen Wilkins won a First Place Award in the poetry contest.
Clemson University Foreign Language Declamation
- Kristyn Winch won 1st Place, Level I
- Casey Edmund won 3rd Place, Level IV
2005 Year of Languages
- Christian Earnhardt's poster won 1st Place in the 13-State Region
National Geographic Bee
- Robert Cook was named the School Winner and he successfully passed the written test to become eligible for the state competition.
VFW Patriot's Pen Essay Contest
- Michael Gelotte won a 2nd Place Award with his essay, "What Service to Our Country Means to Me"
Michelin North America 2005 Invention Convention
- David McDonough won 2nd Place in the 7th grade division
